Italian for food & beverage and retail
For people who work with taste, hospitality and Made in Italy

Italian for brands, retail, marketing and communication in the luxury sector
Speak the language of Italian brands
Who it is for: professionals in fashion, luxury, retail and communication who work every day with Italian head offices, showrooms and partners.
- The language of the brand: product, materials, craftsmanship, heritage and storytelling
- Boutique and store: window displays, visual merchandising, customer journey, clienteling
- Working with the Italian head office: briefs, guidelines, emails, calls, press releases and events

Basic Italian for life, travel and work
Your first step towards Italy
Who it is for: beginners who want to travel, taste and understand Italy, and anyone who works, or will work, with Italian colleagues and partners.
- Everyday life: introducing yourself, when to use “tu” and “Lei”, at the restaurant, shopping
- Travelling: stations, hotels, booking, asking for and understanding directions
- First steps at work: short emails, simple phone calls, Italian colleagues
- Pronunciation and conversation: double consonants, R and L, guided dialogues in real situations

Three online courses: Italian for food & beverage and retail, Italian for brands, marketing and communication, basic Italian for professionals. In summer 2027 there will be an advanced Italian course in person in Lucca.
Yes. We suggest starting online and continuing in Lucca next summer, but if you already have a basic knowledge of Italian you can sign up for the summer course directly.
Each online course runs 40 hours over four weeks: 2 hours a day, Monday to Friday. The summer course in Lucca lasts two weeks, also 40 hours.
All the courses start from beginner level and no previous knowledge of Italian is required. If you are interested in an advanced or tailored course, tell us in the booking form and we will get back to you.
In time slots that work around your job, calculated on your time zone. The exact times are sent to you by email when you enrol.
We recommend following all the live lessons: that is where you practise. Recordings of the lessons are also available.
Only when the course reaches 10 bookings. At that point you receive an activation email with the instructions to complete your enrolment and pay by bank transfer, by the date indicated. Before then you pay nothing.
The fees for this edition are being finalised. Teaching materials and the certificate of attendance are included.

In July and August 2027 we run advanced in person courses in Lucca: two weeks, 40 hours of lessons, and the rest of the time to use your Italian where it is really spoken, in the shops, in the restaurants, in the street.

Italy Calls You is the new program from European School in Lucca for people who want to get closer to Italy through its language, its culture and its working life.
Fashion, design, wine, food, hospitality: in many Made in Italy sectors, speaking Italian changes your relationship with clients, suppliers and partners. You no longer have to go through English or an interpreter, and you start to understand how Italians work and relate to each other.
That is why the lessons start from concrete situations: a phone call, an email, a presentation, a negotiation.
